Gate 46 spans the Virgo–Libra cusp, running from roughly Virgo 28°15′ through Libra 3°52′30″. Born in those opening degrees of Libra season, the Sun falls in Gate 46 in Libra's register — and that placement is what makes a Libra a Libra46 rather than one of the other five Libra types (or its Virgo counterpart across the same cusp).

Gate 46 sits in what Human Design calls the G Center — the body's seat of identity, direction, and love. This placement means the relationship with the physical body isn't peripheral to Libra46's sense of self; it is the compass by which they orient. The G Center's energy is magnetic in the literal Human Design sense: it draws aligned experiences toward a person whose relationship with their own identity and direction is genuine. Gate 46's particular expression of that magnetism runs through physical presence — the quality of embodiment becomes the field that either draws or repels what life has to offer.

Gate 46 also forms one half of the Channel of Discovery (29–46) — a "channel" being the wire that links two Gates into a single circuit — where embodied presence connects to the Sacral Center's life-force, transforming physical attentiveness into committed, persevering energy. The serendipity this gate is known for isn't random; it's the consequence of that circuit running cleanly. (Gate 46's modern name is Love of the Body; its ancient I Ching root, Pushing Upward, is the image of a plant rising toward light through the earth — not forced, but inevitable when conditions are right.)
